This year I setoff excited for my next costuming project for The Sound of Music at the Hopebox Theatre in Kaysville Utah. Unfortunately this production, like many others became a casualty of Covid-19 in the year 2020! I added a special contribution to this show by using some of the fabric my grandmother left to me. My grandmother was a talented quilter and seamstress. It was she who taught me to sew. I remember in high school when we were required to make our costume, I asked her to help me. She agreed to but only if I sat with her and learned a little how about how it is done. Since then I have sewn up a storm. Like my grandma, I love to try new things and I am excited to see her beloved fabric have a second life. I call it my "Betty Line!" Unfortunately I, along with an amazing production team, we will have to cross our fingers and wait until 2021 to live out this musical adventure. For now here are a few items from the "Betty Line" and the drape costumes for the children.

Enjoy!
